Become a Master Gardener!

Applications are closed for the 2010 Master Gardener program.

Becoming a Master Gardener requires the completion of formal classroom training, exams, practica, plant identification, and public outreach. The classroom portion of the Master Gardener program lasts from January through April and costs $385. Enrollment is limited and competitive. Further information and application materials can be found through the UConn Home and Garden Center website.

2009 Garden Master Classes (the continuing education aspect of the MG Program) are open to everyone with an interest in learning about all aspects of the gardening world. The latest selection of Garden Master Classes offers a wide variety of subjects, from Preserving The Harvest, to Landscape Design, to Woody Plant Propagation. Members of the public are welcome to attend these classes.
